Exeter
Exeter is a cathedral city in Devon, England, with a population of 129,800 at 2016. Exeter was the most south-westerly Roman fortified settlement in Britain. The city is on the River Exe about 65 miles southwest of Bristol and 36 miles northeast of Plymouth. Exeter sits predominantly on sandstone and conglomerate geology, although the structure of the surrounding areas is varied. Exeter has cold wet winters and warm summers with hot and cooler rainy spells.
