Exeter

With a 129,800 population (mid-2016 EST), Exeter (/ˈɛksɪtər/) is a Devon cathedral city. Two Exeter University campuses - St Luke's Campus and Streatham Campus are situated in Exeter. The Metropolitan Area of Exeter had a 467,257 population in the same year and, along with East Devon, Mid Devon, and Teignbridge, includes Exeter.

Completed in 1763, Exeter Synagogue is the third oldest synagogue in Britain. Notable for their parkland that is attractive, the Exeter University in the city has two campuses.

However never progressed beyond the third tier of the English football league system, Exeter City F.C became Football League's (south) Third Division members that are founders in 1920. At the English CW beginning, Exeter was secured for Parliament and very much strengthened were defences, but it was captured in September 1643 led by Prince Maurice, the Royalist Army that are Cornish.

Opened at St Davids on the western edge in 1844, the Bristol and Exeter Railway is the first railway to arrive in Exeter. Located to the south east of the centre, the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust has a hospital.

Shopping for residents within the city limits and from towns that are nearby in East Devon, Mid Devon, and Teignbridge, together known sometimes as the area for Heart of Devon & Exeter (EHOD), employment include services that Exeter provides. Tried for witchcraft at Exeter in 1685, a Norman gatehouse nearby plaque recalls Alice Molland's fate, and the last person to have been executed for that crime in England; others convicted of witchcraft had been hanged in Exeter in 1581, 1610, and 1682.

The Business School, Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, Henry Wellcome building for Biocatalysis, and, as of September 2018, Exeter Centre for Circular Economy are included in the university. Exeter School, Exeter Cathedral, The Maynard, Bramdean, St Wilfrid's School and Exeter Tutorial College include independent schools that the city has.
